I'm Stefani Germanotta, I am twenty-five years old and I used to live in Italy with my family, until one day a bomb exploded in my house. On that day my whole family died, only my sister and me survived. From the time I left in charge of my sister, she was 13 years old, then I should take care her and feed her, I had to get a job, but with the consequences that the war had left, this was difficult. When she grew up enough to take care of herself, I decided to travel to Argentina to start a new life away from all my past, my sister did not want to go with me because she had a husband. so I decided to do it alone because I needed to start my life again but to this I had to start from the beginning in a new country, new people,so I hope to be happy again.

Isla de Elba - Italia

I had chosen this video because it remembered me to my Father´s great-parents who had lived in Italy since their childhood, so i can imagine how they lived and some places from this country.

Dear sister,

Hello Alice, I have just arrived at Buenos Aires, Argentina. This place is beautiful, the air here is softer than there and I think the people here are different, just because they appear to be confident but they are not, they are tired, specially poor people, it must be because they work hard and they earn low wages, as consequence of this, they seem very plain, they have a stone-face , their build-average and stout, their face have many scar because some of them they work in mines or they are servants but I don´t care.
I think Buenos Aires is the best place for me and my wife and my unborn baby who will be called Alice as her aunt.
I hope you are fine, I´ll be writting you as soon as I can.
                                                                                                            Love you
                                                                                                                             John.
